Bother With My Education

Lot of students sure will feel happy when near to graduation, but it was become a stress and bother for me, because until today, i still haven't decide where should i continue my degree...

Because i am not more youngster and not in rich family, so i had to face the cruel reality, and it lead many issues i have to consider in my choice, although other always said future is hold in own hand, totally agree, but i am in confusing so how i to built my future??

I really need your guys comments, please give me some suggestion....

Should i stay back in Penang? or should i go KL?
And lot friends said useless to continue with management paper, so should i change to specialize paper like marketing, human resources or other?
Why useless?? Because lower paid, and cruel in reality again, i have to surrender with the salary...
And last, should i take part time course? or full time is better?

From all the problems at top, i was decide before, to continue by taking degree in management part time course and full time to work as the position relate with my diploma cert at KL.

Advantages
  • Open eyes sight if i transfer to KL
  • More career opportunity
  • Try to adapt in huge city, and continue work in there after grad if possible,, to avoid be foreign worker in Singapore.
  • Can gain related working experience, to help me get more high salary job after grad from degree.
  • Boring life style in Penang, can change new environment.
Disadvantages
  • High living cost
  • Pressure life style, because Monday to Friday working and study at Saturday and Sunday.
  • Might pay car loan, because after i adapt KL life, i might buy a new car as transportation in there. (sure my parents sponsor some to me in finance, impossible i can settle all the car loan and living cost by myself.
This is my original plan, but lot friends washing my mind n told me said management cert useless... really bother me, they was success to disturb my decision... Argh...

So how i gonna to do? Because, part time course was provided in my collage only accounting and management are available, and i damn hate and no interest with account formula at all, so impossible i take it.

That mean if i choose marketing course, i gonna give up my plan and go for full time course, then after graduated all start from zero again when seeking a job.

I really want to ask, is it management cert is so weak? For those are already working for many years, can you answer me? The pay consider as low payment if compare with other course??

Then how about if i got a plan to continue my MBA soon if i able? Will the situation change??

  1. Firstly, do you like living big city like KL?

If yes, then go. Since you can have more opportunities to develop and more choices.

Of course, you have to bear with the disadvantages, such as living cost and pressures... there's no such thing as perfect choice in this world.

Secondly, do you like management course so much?

I don't understand why you bother so much to pursue this course or not. But I have to say that academic can only affect the beginning stage of our career. We ourselves is the one determine the career path later.

So, if you didn't really like crazy for management study, why bother? Go for those more specialized courses like you mentioned, marketing etc etc...

And little of my personal opinion --- management study is really useless! haha.

Moreover, if you wanna futher go for MBA later, you still can do it with your working experience, you know that?

Then, regarding doing fulltime course, since you can afford to, why not? I guess it will take you another 3 years the most?

Doing partime course while working needs your stamina and determination. You have to think twice if you can bear with it.

Again, there's no perfect choice. You can only kill 2 birds with 1 stone, not 10!
Don't let it bothers you so much.

Just my little bullshxxting. I guess you might have already decision in your mind... go go go!

    i'm espie tan!!!
